Write a Letter of Support to Ruben Vardanyan
Ruben Vardanyan – unlawfully held in Azerbaijan since September 2023 – has recently been transferred to a new facility.
While his location has changed, the ability to send him letters remains. It is important, however, to use the updated mailing address when sending correspondence.
At a time when there is no reliable information about his conditions of detention, health, or access to basic services, letters of support take on particular importance. Separated from his family and the outside world, even a simple message can serve as a powerful reminder that he is not alone.
Sending a physical letter is a simple but meaningful act of solidarity that helps ensure he knows he has not been forgotten.
Before preparing your letter, please follow these initial steps:
1. Click the TAKE ACTION button and select the section “Send a Physical Letter to Ruben.”
2. Click the “Receive Details” button.
This will open your email client with a pre-filled message requesting further instructions. Simply send the email as it is.
3. Wait for our reply.
The Free Armenian Prisoners team will send you all the necessary information about sending your letter to Ruben.
Please note:
If you live in Armenia, the Armenian postal service currently does not send letters to Azerbaijan. If you are based in Armenia and would like to send a letter, the only option is to ask friends, relatives, or acquaintances living in other countries to send the letter on your behalf.
Additionally, due to recent developments in the region, including events in Iran, some postal services may have restrictions on sending mail to Azerbaijan. We kindly ask you to check with your local postal service in advance to ensure that delivery is possible.
We kindly ask that you avoid sending greeting cards or photographs, as they may not be delivered due to possible censorship restrictions.
Sending a letter may seem like a small act, but it can carry a powerful message – that Ruben Vardanyan is remembered and supported by people around the world.
